Summer Analyst Roles & Responsibilities

Ares is seeking a Summer Analyst for our Industrial Acquisitions department, within the Real Estate group. The position will expose the intern to the daily responsibilities of an Industrial analyst, which includes:

• Assistance in preparing Investment Memos and making investment decisions
• Providing financial analysis, research & due diligence support
• Understanding the industrial market and underwriting strategies, furthermore, utilizing those materials to effectively come to investment conclusions
• Ad hoc analysis as requested by limited partners
• Summer capstone project curated between intern and manager and presented to the broader real estate investment team

The position also includes exposure to various functions with the Real Estate department.

We are looking for self-motivated, astute individuals with a passion for and interest in investments. In addition to strong analytical skills and comfort in a fast-paced team environment, successful candidates should have:

• A passion for contributing to and operating within a collaborative corporate culture
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Microsoft Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
• Initiative and a strong entrepreneurial mindset
• Independent thinkers with the ability to research solutions and be a problem solver

Additionally:

• Are currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, ideally majoring in Finance or Economics
• Have an anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and August 2025
• Have a track record of academic excellence and participation in campus activities
• Have strong intellect with solid quantitative, financial and analytical skills

Duration: 10 weeks

Compensation: Paid Internship - the total base salary (subject to change) is expected to be $110,000 (prorated over 10 weeks)
