Business Description:
This role will work closely with the Global AML team and other members of the UK Financial Crime Team to support the maintenance and development of the Global AML program.
Job Title: Legal & Compliance – AML, Analyst
Job Description:
- Support the AML/CFT process for counterparty due diligence, obtain key KYC information and screening for potential reputational and financial crime concerns, including those relating to PEPs, sanctions, and proliferation financing.
- Support the distributor on-boarding process and ensure deadlines are met.
- Disposition alerts within KYC database.
- Liaise with legal counsel, deal teams, and third parties to support Blackstone’s internal processes relating to requests for information from counterparties.
- Assist with ad-hoc global projects as required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential money laundering risks.
- Capacity of working autonomously and effectively manage priorities, as well as deadlines.
- Work on ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- General knowledge of AML/CTF legal framework including UK, Luxembourg and EU.
- General knowledge and experience in adverse news screening.
- Strong investigative/analytical skills, able to formulate and clearly articulate a supportable rationale behind the decisioning of “alerts” within cases
- Strong organisational skills and detailed oriented
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication and research skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (pivot tables, charts, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
