Blackstone Multi Asset Investing (BXMA) manages approximately $84 billion across a diversified array of businesses, including a customized portfolio solutions platform, a special situations platform, an open-ended mutual fund platform, and an emerging manager seeding platform. BXMA invests across a variety of strategies, asset classes, and capital structures to create solutions for its clients. Job Title: BXMA – Strategic Initiatives, Product Strategy (Associate)
Job Description:
The Strategic Initiatives team helps set and execute on the strategic priorities of BXMA in partnership with the division’s leadership team. Our goal is to build, grow, and constantly improve BXMA’s investment business. The team covers strategic initiatives across investments & product, clients, and operations.
Key responsibilities of the Strategic Initiatives, Product Strategy (Associate) role will include:
New Product Development: Contribute to the launch of new products/businesses by working across functional areas to drive execution, which requires working with portfolio managers on investment mandate, risk management, analytics; legal and operations on vehicle design, structure, tax; and sales on all marketing materials and communications collateral.
Product Strategy: Conduct detailed analyses on existing businesses and communicate learnings with BXMA leadership.
Content Creation: Produce best-in-class content with a focus on both thought leadership and driving commercial outcomes for specific products and client situations.
Market Research: Develop a deep understanding of the multi-asset investing competitive landscape and evaluate the market opportunity for specific product initiatives.
Investment Analytics: Understand the drivers of investment performance for BXMA businesses and synthesize for key stakeholders and clients.
Product Specialist: Support the sales team as a subject matter expert, including flexing into an external-facing role when appropriate to engage BXMA clients and prospects.
Cross-Business Initiatives: Contribute to creative problem solving and key initiatives across BXMA.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and time management skills, the successful candidate must have:
3+ years of professional experience with a background in investment banking, investment management, sales and trading, management consulting, or investment product development.
Passion for both investing and business building.
Superior synthesis, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong investment and markets acumen, with experience in structuring and executing investment, risk management, or financing transactions.
Business building orientation, with experience utilizing frameworks to make commercial decisions.
Ability to manage ad-hoc projects, with minimal oversight.
Strong conceptual and analytical thinking, with a demonstrated ability to navigate between the two.
Exceptional work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and desire to continually improve.
Collaborative workplace approach that fosters strong working relationships.
Motivation to thrive in a dynamic environment, often under competing deadlines.
Unquestionable professional integrity.
Undergraduate degree is required.

Expected annual base salary range:
$150,000 - $160,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
