The Product Specialist will serve as a product manager covering entire product lifecycle, from fundraising through investment and return-of-capital. They provide domain knowledge and expertise on investments, performance, market dynamics and competitors. This role will act as the primary contact for investment teams and will be responsible for overseeing product lifecycle management across the region. Product Specialists have key internal and external stakeholders, including BX investment teams, PWS sales professionals, various due diligence teams, financial advisors, and end-clients.

Primary job responsibilities will include:

· Assist in answering a broad range of client and sales team questions about Blackstone’s products, market views, etc., acting as the “knowledge hub” within PWS Japan

· Partner with PWS product specialists based in other regions, investment teams and various internal stakeholders to develop and execute product lifecycle management strategies across products and client segments – including content, messaging, competitive landscape, and product positioning.

· Provide ongoing key real-time product, investment and market updates to the sales teams, advisors, end-clients, portfolio managers and other key stakeholders.

· Collaborate with investment teams to create high-impact content tailored to Private Wealth channels – including monthly updates and commentary, quarterly fund reviews, investment themes, investment activity and deal updates, and various ad-hoc client requests.

· Work across Private Wealth business functions in supporting product initiatives such as Marketing, Sales, Investor Services, Product Strategy and Business Development

· Research competitive landscapes across alternative asset classes, strategy types and product structures

Qualifications:

In addition to a minimum of 5+ years of experience in asset management, the successful candidate should have:

· Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills;

· Desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment;

· Creative, articulate and able to effectively understand and convey complex concepts

· Demonstrated ability to write effectively

· Strong communication and presentation skills;

· Familiarity with markets, securities, investment strategies and the relevant regulatory framework;

· Exceptional verbal and written skills in both Japanese and English

· MBA and/or CFA a plus but not required
