We are looking for a Director, VIP Events and Experiences. The DraftKings VIP team is responsible for deepening our connection with customers through personalized treatments. This role will build the strategy for and ultimately be responsible for the execution of our personalized approach to high-end gifting, events and experiences. This role will live within the VIP organization and will require frequent cross-functional collaboration across the entire DraftKings organization, especially loyalty marketing, partnerships and analytics. Success in this role will contribute to overall company goals around expanding our reach through deeper customer connections.

What you’ll do as Director, VIP Events and Experiences

  • Develop an overall strategic approach to VIP Gifting, Events and Hospitality to ensure that our investments are making the largest possible impact.

  • Event Planning - Develop and manage our calendar of events across the entire DraftKings business including Fantasy Championships, Golf tournaments, VIP gatherings, casino and sports betting tournaments and much more.

  • Strategic Design - Create a unique approach to strengthen customer relationships via Hospitality, Gifting and personal touchpoints. Constantly evaluate the results and data to iterate on our plans and goals.

  • Hospitality Management - Ensure high level execution on our Hospitality plans and execution against our plans.

  • Budget Ownership - This role will own the budget for all Events and Experiences and will be responsible for developing ROI and performance reviews.

  • Leadership - In this role you will manage managers. You will lead the leaders of our Hospitality, Events and Gifting teams ensuring these teams have clear goals and paths to executing them.

  • Communication - This role will have a direct connection with our executive team and will be responsible for keeping them updated on our progress in the space.


What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years relevant experience in Events, Hospitality, Customer Loyalty or business with a focus on building VIP programs/experiences

  • Experience leading a team with the ability to manage people, internal stakeholders and outside vendors and merchandising partners

  • Experience planning and executing large scale events

  • Strong base of contacts within the Events and Hospitality industry

  • Comfort generating insights from data and explaining analytical concepts to leadership

  • Ability to pivot strategies based on insights from data and other learnings

  • Experience in managing to a large budget and presenting on ROI

  • Confidence in presenting ideas and concepts within and across the organization – strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

  • Customer first mindset with a focus on personalization

  • Comfortability working in a fast-paced, dynamic and highly collaborative environment

  • Willingness to travel as necessary

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,400.00 - $195,600.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
