Our Group Finance department, specifically the Valuations team, plays a critical role in portfolio company valuations and investor reporting across our various business lines including Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Venture Capital.
We are seeking a full-time Associate to join our Valuations team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant work experience, particularly in alternative funds, corporate finance, strategy consulting, transaction services, or similar fields. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in fund and company valuations, investment performance measures, and the private equity industry. You will collaborate closely with investment advisory professionals across the global EQT organization to ensure the accuracy and quality of our portfolio company valuations, financial and fund performance reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize, enhance and develop valuation models for EQT’s broad range of investments as well as evergreen funds.
- Collaborate with investment advisory teams to ensure high-quality fund and portfolio company valuations, performance attribution calculations and data integrity in the portfolio monitoring system.
- Prepare and share investment management reports to EQT’s investors.
- Contribute to internal business development projects and the onboarding of new investments.
- Create bespoke solutions to address the dynamic requirements of our investors and stakeholders within EQT.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance valuation processes and reporting standards.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Investments, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related fields; other disciplines are also considered.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in corporate finance, strategy consulting, transaction services, fund valuations or similar areas, ideally with exposure to open-ended funds investing in private assets.
- Hands-on experience with the valuation of private companies and knowledge of modeling capital structures and fund level investment returns is highly desirable
- Strong interest in alternative investments, finance and private equity.
- Familiarity with iLevel is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
