THE POSITION:

FanDuel is hiring a Commercial Analyst Intern to help formulate and execute the strategic vision for the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) and adjacent verticals. The Intern will work closely with functional and vertical experts to research commercial opportunities, study competitors, and support the build of reports that will inform key stakeholders on the performance of the business. This person will work on a small team to continually optimize and improve our core onsite experiences in addition to ensuring the commercial success of both new and existing programs that fall under the DFS vertical. A successful candidate will be a self-motivated and organized individual with high attention to detail, can easily problem solve and is able to make quick but well-informed decisions and back them up with data driven results.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

• Partner with DFS Commercial team members to analyze and evaluate key strategic and operational decisions
• Conduct deep dive analyses on performance trends and provide recommendations for how to achieve vertical OKRs.
• Provide analytical support (dashboards, workbooks, slide decks etc.) to address targeted problems/ initiatives/campaigns
• Collaborate or own A/B analyses for marketing and other key stakeholders
• Automate reporting workflows and/or data models
• Provide stakeholders within the vertical quick checks on revenue performance where appropriate
• Present targeted competitive and internal analyses to stakeholders
• Learn quickly to become a subject matter expert about products and markets that are newer to the company as a whole

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

Required Qualifications:

• Must be graduating between December 2024 – May 2025
• Must have U.S. Work Authorization and does not require employer sponsorship
• Must be in commutable distance from or willing to relocate to designated office
• Must be willing to be in office 2+ times per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a BA or BS program seeking a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field with expectation to graduate between December 2024 and May 2025
• Creative problem solver with aptitude for both qualitative and quantitative analysis
• A strong willingness and ability to present research frameworks and results to supervisor(s)
• Basic profiency in SQL, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Interest and familiarity with other analytic tools (e.g. Python, R) a plus
• Interest in and familiarity with the Real Money Gaming and/or Daily Fantasy Sports sectors a plus
