You will:
- Manage and lead a strong team of instock managers
- Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting, purchasing, and managing down unproductive inventory
- Measure and improve vendor lead times, vendor fill rates, reduce operational defects, and improve systems to streamline operations between vendors and Gopuff
- Drive root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and manage improvement projects
- Work with internal teams to help drive tools and process improvements that affect purchasing and vendor management workflow, with emphasis on automating tasks that are currently performed manually
- Drive process improvement and operational excellence within Gopuff’s vendor community by reducing costs, defects, and lead times, while increasing innovation, automation, and economies of scale.
- Perform complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.
- Control budgets and deliver actions to meet inventory targets.
- Work with leadership on project selection, scope, definition, and performance to ensure alignment with business strategy.
You have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline and/or certificate of completion of studies is required
- 5+ years experience inventory planning, operations/supply chain, retail, project management, and/or ecommerce , with a history of driving/owning results
- 3+ years experience with data analysis, problem solving or project management
- Strong analytical skills with strong proficiency in analytics tools including Microsoft Excel and SQL
- Team management experience
- Ability to influence and inspire action in others, regardless of organization reporting line
- Strong business judgement and excellent written and oral communication skills
- The demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects through prioritization, planning, and task delegation
- Experience working with large and complex data sets to drive business decisions
- A track record of delivering results and an ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Strong ownership, bias for action, and discipline in establishing and improving processes
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth category environment
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
