Job Description

Your Role:

The Investment Strategist is responsible for conducting research and building analysis on macro and investment strategy trends and developing creative and accessible approaches for representing and presenting the findings to North American financial professionals and their end clients. The Investment Strategist will also support client-engagement programs designed to enable financial professionals to deepen their relationships with and product better outcomes for their clients.

You will be responsible for:

  • Works with Global Market Strategists to generate ideas and concepts that inform the investment strategy views and outlooks

  • Research various macro/market topics to address investor challenges and persistent client concerns

  • Develops novel and innovative methods for representing views and guides the promotion of those views across multiple mediums (digital, podcasts, interactive microsites)

  • Designs and maintains procedures and tools that make data management and investment research more efficient

  • Maintains, updates, and renews existing programs and presentations

  • Trains internal partners, including Distribution, on the content architecture and the findings within it

  • Builds opportunities to engage with external clients to consult on firm’s macro/investment insights and client-engagement programs

The experience you bring:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in developing macro and investment strategy at a reputable investment firm

  • Experience in delivering/presenting content and programs to financial professionals

  • Ability to comprehend, assess, and interpret macro and investment trends

  • Experience in working with large data to perform statistical and quantitative analysis

  • Experience in building and maintaining a research database

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and range of investment backgrounds

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively utilize data programs such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and MacroBond

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills required

  • Superior organization skills and prove ability to attend to details

  • Ability to prioritize work and allocate time effectively to maximize impact to investment process

  • Degree in economics or finance is strongly preferred but not required

  • MBA degree or CFA designation is strongly preferred but not required

The salary range for this position in New York is $110,000 -$116,000 annually. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
