Job Description
Duties:
- Bring ML and AI ideas within asset management to the table. Ideate, collaborate with asset managers and your team to transform ideas into tools and systems.
- Perform machine learning/ artificial intelligence/statistical analysis methods, such as deep learning, natural language processing, classification, collaborative filtering, association rules, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, time-series analysis, regression, statistical inference, & validation methods.
- Analyze and model structured and unstructured data using advanced machine learning methods and implement algorithms and software needed to perform analyses.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis on new datasets and present results in a clear manner.
- Perform data analysis, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data to identify patterns.
- Collaborate with design thinking approach to ideate with product owners on ML solutions built for Invesco asset managers.
- Work with data engineers and ML engineers to move models into ML pipelines for automations.
Requirements:
- Must have a Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics or related quantitative field.
- Must have 3 years of experience in positions performing statistical or quantitative analysis performing/utilizing the following:
- Applying statistical skills, such as probability distributions, statistical testing, and regression.
- Building applications and systems using principles of Object-Oriented Programming and System Design.
- Python, R, and SQL to perform data manipulation for formatting, re-structuring, validation.
- Data Science tools ecosystem, including Pandas, Numpy, Scikit learn, Jupyter, PyTorch, NLTK, and Spacy.
- Machine learning techniques and algorithms, including k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Tree and Forests, Gradient Descent, Linear/ Integer Programming and Optimization Techniques.
- SQL, DDL and DML for working with tabular databases and schemas to build custom data infrastructure through data models and pipelines.
- Development and Command line tools (bash and zsh).
Work experience must include use of the following:
- Deep learning techniques transformers, CNNs.
- Visualization tools: Tableau, Matplolib or Plotly, and Streamlit
- CI/CD through Git and Docker Containers
- BitBucket and VSCode
- Atlassian tools: Jira and Confluence.
- AWS ML services: SageMaker, API gateways, AWS Glue, Athena, S3 buckets.
Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in Atlanta, GA. Must be available to travel to Atlanta, GA regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
