Job Description

Job Purpose (Job Summary): To act as an Identity and Access Management (IAM) team member and assist with day to day operations and maintenance activities for the IAM solution within the organization. The individual will work with the IAM team and help desk team within the organization to aid with the operations activities.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Maintain and Configure IAM solution configurations and provide ongoing support.
  • Maintain connectors and resource adapters to managed resources.
  • Support bulk user loads for processing large scale user creations, modifications, and/or revocations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered in IAM solution operations.
  • Provide IAM solution technical support and coordination for resolving identified issues
  • Monitor IAM solution performance and collaborate with infrastructure team to align processing and storage capacity accordingly.
  • Assist IT Auditors in periodic vulnerability assessments of the IAM solution and its components.
  • Ensure that IAM security mechanisms in place are adequate and functioning properly.
  • Enforce IAM policies, procedures, and configuration standards.
  • Monitor the IAM solution infrastructure for potential security vulnerabilities and take appropriate resolution steps.
  • Review audit trails for unauthorised access attempts and report anomalies.
  • Propose IAM solution enhancement and/or integration designs for review.
  • Implement IAM product upgrades and apply security patches.
  • Profile and diagnose trouble spots should they arise during the operation of IAM solution under varying load conditions.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.
  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary.
  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally. Frequency and duration to be determined by manager.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience implementing Identity and Access Management solutions (IBM / Oracle / SailPoint / CA or others)
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in carrying out application integrations with the IAM solution dealing with provisioning (e.g. workflows), single sign-on (WIA, Forms, HTTP) and PKI concepts.
  • Understanding of service level agreements and prioritization of incidents/enhancements.
  • Experience in technologies such as Java, LDAP, SSL RDBMS and Linux
  • Experience in operating Windows and UNIX based systems.
  • Willing to learn new technologies.
  • Good technical documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • University degree, or higher, in a technical discipline is preferred

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • ITIL Foundation certification would be an added advantage
  • Information Security related certification an added advantage (CRISC, CISSP, etc.)
  • IAM technology certifications
