KKR Americas Private Equity Software Investment Team
Menlo Park, CA
A Private Equity Analyst will be integrally involved with all aspects of the private equity investment process, including: sourcing and evaluating potential investments; performing due diligence; structuring and closing transactions; monitoring performance at portfolio companies; exiting investments; and interacting with management teams and the firm’s investors. An Analyst will work primarily within one industry vertical (in the case of this position software) and will interact closely with other KKR businesses such as the Client and Partner Group, KKR Capstone, KKR Capital Markets, and KKR Credit. KKR’s Americas Software Private Equity team is based in Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY and invests across the software landscape with investments across all sectors and sizes ranging from high-growth businesses to scaled, mature enterprises.
Analysts will benefit from a 3-week comprehensive training program in addition to on-the-job training and development. Analysts will also participate in a week-long, firm-wide global Analyst and Associate orientation to meet peers across the firm and learn more about each of our businesses.
Responsibilities include:
- Learning and following the dynamics of the software industry
- Building relationships within the firm and with management teams, as well as with external advisors and industry experts
- Identifying attractive investment themes and opportunities
- Gathering and synthesizing industry and market data
- Extensive analysis on potential investments, including in-depth financial modeling
- Managing the due diligence process, including overseeing commercial, accounting, tax, and legal diligence advisors
- Assisting with the development of and monitoring operational initiatives within portfolio companies
- Monitoring and reporting on portfolio company performance
- Drafting and presenting oral and written materials to management and investors
