Corporate Affairs Manager, LATAM

The Corporate Affairs Manager LATAM serves as LATAM functional expert on corporate affairs (i.e., internal and external communications, community affairs and corporate citizenship), providing leadership, strategic direction and program support that helps to do the following: advances the cluster’s business interests; preserves and enhances the company’s corporate and brand reputations; enhances senior leadership and employee effectiveness; and creates value for communities where we have business interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Head of Corporate Affairs to develop a corporate communications strategy that brings the market’s business priorities and objectives to life and amplifies global corporate affairs programs for both internal and external stakeholders in the market.
  • Serve as a strong communications generalist, with responsibility for driving both strategy and execution across all components of a strategic communications plan for the cluster—media relations, internal and employee communications, executive communications, and community affairs.
  • Partner with Director and global leads on crisis response and public affairs issues affecting the cluster, as needed.
  • Serves as a member of the LATAM leadership team to provide counsel on a wide range of business issues that require communications support.
  • Take global/regional priorities, tools and resources and maximizes relevancy and value in the market through tailored execution.
  • Partner with HR team to coordinate and measure success of employee events, including company town halls meetings and partnering with brands on marketing activations that will have a positive impact on employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate affairs / corporate communications role, leading, developing and executing end-to-end external and internal strategies
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Fluent Spanish and English language skills are required. Portuguese would also be advantageous but not essential.
  • Sound judgment in a fast-paced environment; strategic, critical and creative thinking skills
  • Strong business acumen and a good knowledge of current affairs
  • Adept at managing relationships at senior leader level, and ability to influence and build strong relationships with direct reports, peers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Superb writer, with a demonstrated ability to build strategies and distill complex content into clear, concise and engaging communications, with speed and accuracy
  • Experience blending traditional internal communications tactics with new media, including enterprise collaboration and online platforms
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives in support of our business strategies, and excellent presentation skills
  • Tenacious and able to see ideas through to execution
  • Capable of taking on a varied degree of tasks and responsibilities, from leadership to hands-on content creation/editing
  • Able to handle highly confidential information with sensitivity, integrity and good judgement
  • Bachelor's Degree (Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or Journalism preferred)
