About the Job

  • Support success of the business through financial expertise, leadership, and strong execution of accounting processes and reporting.

  • Identify process simplification and/or standardization opportunities that leverage our regional/global capabilities.

  • Promote a strong control environment and maintain SOX compliance.

  • Manage local treasury operations, upholding department controls.

  • Responsible for statutory financial reporting and management of the statutory audits, including partnership with third party preparation and auditing firms. Initially, this role will be responsible for the statutory financials / audits in Mexico but geographic responsibilities are expected to grow within the Latin American cluster for this role.

  • Delivery of timely and accurate closure of the monthly accounting records, in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP, through partnership with the Global Accounting organization.

  • Drive compliance with local Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) reporting requirements, working with Global Accounting, Legal, and corporate ESG teams to support compliance with local laws.

  • Oversee locally owned controls including (but not limited to) DC cycle count reviews, store inventory counts, treasury and petty cash controls. Work with control owners on remediation or process improvement as appropriate.

  • Work effectively across time zones, fostering strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders such as Regional and Corporate Controller’s, Treasury, Corporate Finance, Global Accounting, and others.

  • Partner with tax leadership to support tax priorities as needed, including support of monthly / annual filings, CFDI compliance and reconciliation, etc.

About You

  • Strong English skills (written and oral), interpersonal and presentation skills to interact with various levels of management.

  • Working leader: need to manage and deliver items that you own while being responsible for (and helping support) work owned by the larger team.

  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning and team building skills.

    Ability to interact and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization, globally.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to connect financial information with the business operation.

  • Project Management capabilities - the ability to plan, initiate, monitor and implement projects within a team.

  • Ability to identify and execute operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives to improve resource optimization.

  • Knowledge and experience with international accounting, finance and tax regulations, especially US GAAP.

  • Knowledge of and experience with robust ERP systems. SAP experience a plus.
