Trader/Analyst Intern

Within Millennium, our team is a group of scientists, engineers, and traders who combine quantitative and discretionary approaches to solve complex problems in commodity markets. Job Responsibilities

• Apply statistical, data science, and machine learning techniques to test investment ideas

• Collaborate with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and software engineers to deploy these investment ideas

• Analyze financial data and develop predictive models to support decision making within the team

• Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation

Qualifications:

• Are pursuing a degree in a technical or quantitative disciplines, like statistics, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or computer science

• Cumulative GPA of 3.7 and above required; excellent standardized test scores

• Demonstrated proficiency in at least C++ or Python

• Experience performing an in-depth research project examining real-world data

• Are an independent thinker who can creatively approach data analysis and communicate complex observations in a simple and intuitive manner

• You don’t need a background in finance. If you’ve got the quantitative skills, we can teach you the financial aspects of the job.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $125,000 - $200,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
