As a member of the Branding and Communications team, the Social Media Analyst/Manager will report to the Head of Social Media and serve as a key driver in Millennium’s digital media strategy. This includes managing Millennium’s presences across social media, paid media, digital advertising, SEO and firm websites. In this creative-meets-strategic role, this individual will liaise the Branding and Communications team to craft compelling visual and verbal brand stories to disseminate across digital channels. In addition, this individual will take a cross-divisional approach, working in close partnership with Human Resources, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance and various stakeholders to ensure the digital strategy is consistent with the firm’s overall brand narrative and business objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
- Liaise with other members of the Branding and Communications team to oversee the content calendar and ensure all digital content ladders up into the firm’s strategic messaging pillars
- Pitch new content series, formats and platforms to ensure the firm’s digital brand story is bespoke, targeted and optimized for the digital landscape
- Oversee a comprehensive social media listening and monitoring framework to analyze trends and manage content escalations
- Contribute to the digital marketing measurement framework by analyzing data to identify trends, insights and learnings
- Monitor the evolving digital media landscape to identify new platforms and opportunities, as well as track digital trends across users, platforms, marketplace peers and best-in-class brands
- Liaise with the Head Digital Marketing and Head of Social Media to create new digital assets including, but not limited to, videos, social media cards, infographics, social media and website copy across relevant topics that are consistent with the firm brand and the needs of the businesses
- Regularly meet with, and identify new, digital media vendors, tools and agencies
- Manage multiple vendor and agency relationships, ensuring the firm’s brand and messaging goals are adhered to
- Oversee the integration of social media tools across relevant stakeholders (e.g.: Branding and Communications, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Risk, etc.)
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a strong academic record
- 2-7 years of digital marketing experience at a marketing agency or in-house, preferably for a leading financial services, media company or technology firm. Candidates with 5+ years of experience to be considered for Manager title.
- Experience running paid and organic campaigns on social media platforms (e.g.: LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Facebook, etc.)
- Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle time efficiently
- Experience developing and managing a content calendar
- Excellent copywriting skills, particularly for digital media platforms
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient in social media platforms, including understanding content best practices, social media listening, competitive analysis and data reporting
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing strategies and creative content for executive social media presence
- Experience overseeing the development of new visual and creative assets for use across digital channels, including leadership executive profiles
- Proficiency with social media publishing tools (e.g.: Hootsuite, Sprinklr)
- Familiarity with social media listening and measurement tools (e.g.: Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Google Analytics, etc.) with experience extracting key metrics and insights for a senior audience
- Ideal candidate is highly creative, has a passion for digital media and closely follows the digital landscape to identify new brand appropriate opportunities as they emerge
- Experience working on a digital employer branding strategy and direct the execution through a variety of digital channels and campaigns
- Experience running sponsored content campaigns with publishers and media partners
- Strong executive presence and experience working with senior leadership
The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
