Delaware North is hiring a Business Analytics Director to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, MA.
The Director of Business Analytics at TD Garden & the Boston Bruins is responsible for harnessing the power of data and analytics to optimize the business operations, drive revenue growth, support marketing efforts, and provide valuable insights to key stakeholders. As Director, this role will lead a team of analytics professionals responsible for the analysis of business performance across the revenue generating departments and marketing at TD Garden and the Boston Bruins.
- This is a critical role as they will act as a bridge between data and decision-making, helping the organization make informed choices to enhance its overall performance and increase revenue.

- We are seeking a candidate who possesses a deep expertise in the areas detailed below and is proficient in leading and guiding a team to execute tasks effectively. This individual should have the ability to immerse themselves in granular details, when necessary, while also possessing the capacity to ascend to a strategic vantage point to help shape a broader vision.
Ideal candidate will either reside or plan to relocate to Massachusetts however remote candidates will be considered.

- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to TD Garden and Boston Bruins operations. This includes data from ticket sales, box office metrics, marketing campaigns, and various other sources. They use analytical tools and software to generate reports and insights from this data.
- Ticket Sales & Service Optimization: Work closely with the ticket sales & service team to identify trends and opportunities for increasing ticket sales revenue. This includes providing data and insights to inform pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and customer segmentation. Lead innovation and automation roadmap for sales and service processes.
- Box Office Management: Involves collaboration for optimizing box office operations, including ticket inventory management, pricing strategies, and ensuring smooth ticketing processes for events.
- Digital Marketing Support: Assisting the marketing team in measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives. This involves tracking metrics like return on investment (ROI), customer engagement, and conversion rates for all digital efforts.
- Data Visualization: Creating clear and visually appealing dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. This helps non-technical team members understand and act upon the data-driven insights.
- Forecasting and Predictive Analytics: Using historical data to develop predictive models that can forecast future trends in ticket sales, attendance, and revenue. This is important for planning and resource allocation.
- Customer Segmentation: Segmenting the customer base to better targeted marketing efforts and tailor ticket sales and communication strategies for different customer segments.
- Corporate Partnerships Analytics: Collaborating with the Corporate Partnership team to provide data-driven insights and recommendations, including media valuation, rate card, and lead generation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various departments, including finance, operations, and event management, to ensure data-driven decisions are integrated into all aspects of TD Garden and Boston Bruins operations.
- Data Governance: Ensuring data quality and integrity by implementing data governance practices, data cleaning, and maintaining databases.
- Technology Integration: Defining ways to leverage technology and analytics across the organization, and partnering with the Technology department for implementation. Staying up-to-date with the latest analytics tools and technologies to improve data analysis capabilities and streamline processes.
- Team Member Development: Lead, inspire, and coach a team of analytics professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Operations, Statistics or related analytical field or equivalent experience
- At least 8+ years in Business Analytics or similar role
- Minimum four (4) years of experience with KPI development and report/dashboard building.
- Minimum of two (2) years staff management experience preferred.
- Expertise in data extraction & transformation, relational databases & SQL.
- Ability to apply theoretical or experiential knowledge on predictive modeling to solve large scale business problems.
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts of marketing, such as positioning, segmentation, consumer behavior, etc.
- Understanding of complex digital ecosystems and metrics available for collection and analysis.
- Have ability, creativity and experience to generate quick, iterative, optimizing solutions in a wide range of business problems, from online marketing to merchandising.
- Proficiency with Salesforce tools, including Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and CRM
- Proficiency in SQL or similar relational database management system required.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or related system.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates excellent analytic modelling skills that clearly communicate concepts for dissemination in a non-technical manner.
- Demonstrates mastery of quantitative Business Analytics methods including statistical modeling, regression analysis, and mass data analytics.
- Demonstrates skills in visualization and presentation applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Tableau.
- Proven ability to work within an ambiguous/fluid data enterprise; ideal candidate should be able to adapt well to change and thrive in a multi-matrix organization.
