Hi, we're Oscar. We’re hiring a Director, Clinical Operations to join our Clinical Care Team Operations team.

About the role

Our Clinical Care Operations team (CCT) oversees the design and optimization of Oscar’s clinical programs. We partner deeply with our front line Clinical partners to create programs that drive medical cost savings and take excellent care of our members.

In this role, you will set the vision for Oscar’s CCT program strategy. You will be responsible for the ROI of all programs, and will need to ensure they are being managed effectively and driving business value. You’ll be working cross functionally with Clinicians, Marketing, and Product teams to connect the dots, optimize existing programming, and bring new programming to life for our members

You will report into the Senior Director, Clinical Operations and Strategy.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week.Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $174,400 - $228,900 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $156,960- $206,010 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Set, drive and execute on the department strategy and vision to enhance program’s overall value including determining and uncovering new opportunities
  • Identify and execute on administrative expense and medical cost savings through process improvement, new programming, or automation
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of managers and their reports
  • Provide structure and support for your team, building out key management processes to evaluate the health of programs
  • Partner with Business Operations in new expansion market strategies, leading initiatives that support CCT strategy as well as Go-to-Market and Product implementations.
  • Understand the competitive landscape for of the department and act as a thought leader for Clinical Programming across the company
  • Become a trusted partner of cross functional groups including Clinical, Product, Marketing to bring new ideas to life and hold accountable through indirect management
  • Own and continuously evaluate the financial performance of the department, including driving the budgeting process for the CCT Ops department
  • Report to Senior Leadership on the health of the business

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and/or related field
  • 6+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years experience in leading large-scale cross functional initiatives

Bonus Points

  • Clinical licensure
  • Management Consulting experience with a focus on healthcare
  • Experience modeling in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Experience in a growth-stage company

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
