Overview of the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Guernsey based team. The core deliverables of the role are to identify, engage and onboard high and ultra-high net worth prospective clients, providing an excellent service throughout the process.
This role will sit within our Banking Services business, working closely with the Account Executive team to support the strategy and continued growth of the Bank’s multi-currency deposit taking business.
Responsibilities include:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new clients for the Banking Services business, focusing on taking deposits into a range of account solutions and currencies.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, external parties and lead providers.
Market Analysis and Business Strategy Development
Analyse market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities.
Develop and implement business development plans and strategies to attract high net worth clients who meet eligibility criteria.
Collaborate within the Account Executive team to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
Product and Service Promotion
Promote the bank's products and services in a professional matter.
Develop marketing materials and campaigns to support business development efforts.
Experience, Skills and Competencies
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in a business development role within the financial services sector, preferably working with high and ultra-high net worth clients.
- Inquisitive and curious mindset, willing and able to effectively investigate when information isn’t obvious or readily available.
- Highly collaborative approach to working within a team.
- Organised with acute attention to detail.
- Confident, articulate, and professional with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of prospect clients and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and data management skills with experience of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, databases i.e. CRM systems.
- Ability to formulate strategies and tactics with strong focus on execution to achieve results.
Applicants should currently be working in Guernsey and hold a valid Certificate or Permit.
