Overview of Role:
The Investment Management department is searching for a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager within the Discretionary Portfolio Management team. The successful candidate must be structured, analytical, and self-driven, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in investment grade credit, both corporate and sovereign, and will actively contribute to the management of our fixed income portfolios.
Key Responsibilities include
- Active management of investment grade fixed income portfolios
- Security selection, asset allocation, and risk management
- Conducting macroeconomic and credit research
- In-depth analysis of issuers, sectors, and capital structures
- Generating relative value ideas and investment recommendations
- Taking direct investment decisions and contributing to portfolio performance
- Participate in existing client portfolio reviews and prospective client pitches
Education and Qualifications:
- University Degree
- CFA, FRM, CAIIA or similar designation preferred
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required:
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in fixed income portfolio management with a strong expertise in investment grade corporate and sovereign bonds
- Proven track record of investment decision-making and solid understanding of credit fundamentals and market dynamics
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to a broad audience, from sophisticated investors to general stakeholders
- Reliability, precision, ability to work under pressure, ‘can do’ attitude; seeking continuous process improvements and knowledge acquisition/development; high quality standards, ethical attitude; team player; flexibility; strong initiative
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (French an advantage). Please note that candidates that do not speak German/Swiss German will unfortunately not be considered.
- Excellent skills in using IT systems (Avaloq is a plus). Advanced Excel skills, programming ability a plus
