The Client Adviser External Asset Manager (EAM) is the primary point of contact between the EAM and the Bank. The Client Adviser is responsible for the proactive and autonomous management of a portfolio of EAMs. This entails the delivery of comprehensive wealth management solutions to meet the EAM's needs as well as dealing with routine enquiries and transactions. Professionalism and responsiveness are key. Acquisition of new EAM relationships through his/her network is an additional, integral element of the role.

About the team

The EAM & central services desk is part of the Wealth Management Zurich organization and manages the bank’s centralized EAMs and also provides a range of ancillary services, such as providing booking center services, managing group accounts and the servicing of staff accounts. As a small, dedicated team, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored, high-quality service with a personal touch.

Responsibilities

  • Acquisition and maintenance of a portfolio of EAMs with a focus on the Swiss onshore market
  • Responding to all EAMs in a timely and professional manner while ensuring consistently high level of service quality and satisfaction in order to build strong relationships
  • Working in a team (including the appropriate use of specialists) to develop and deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions to the EAMs
  • Collaborate with the Team Head on further developing the Swiss EAM book (marketing strategies, event ideas, acquisition efforts)
  • Ensure that all compliance and legal requirements are met, and business is conducted in line with best practice, taking appropriate action where necessary
  • Support in training and development of junior team members

Experience, Qualifications, Skills and Competencies required

  • Solid business experience of 5 – 10 years in Private Banking covering EAMs and proven track record in developing new relationships
  • Relevant higher educational and professional background e.g. FH, HWV, University or Bank apprenticeship combined with an AZEK, CWMA (SAQ) or CFA qualification is a plus
  • Good understanding of investment products across all asset classes
  • Fluent in German and English, additional languages are a plus
  • Service mentality: client-centric, diligent and meeting fast turnaround times
  • Flexibility, curiosity, ‘can do’ attitude, high social competence, proactivity
  • Person of integrity, high sense of responsibility, personal engagement/initiative, pronounced entrepreneurial attitude, seeking continuous improvement
  • Awareness and knowledge of compliance, legal and regulatory practice in the relevant markets
