JOB SUMMARY

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Security and Cyber Expert to join our Information and Cyber Security function. This role will focus on supporting the bank’s digital asset initiatives by assessing security risks, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cybersecurity, blockchain technology, tokenization, smart contracts, and digital asset security frameworks, Standards and Policies and knowledge of Digital Asset unique additional security requirements such as Key Ceremonies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Support the Markets CISO in the Digital Assets Information and Cyber Security Strategy and socialize with the relevant CTO/Tech Team and Technology Teams
  • Responsible for the execution and implementation of the Digital Assets Security Strategy across the relevant domains
  • Support the Ventures CISO in the execution and implementation of the Strategy within SCV platform and supporting the various Ventures in their deployment journey

Business

  • Be the focal point for ICS on Digital Assets Security matters
  • Support the Markets CISO and Ventures CISO and drive a strong engagement with the relevant CTO/Tech Team and Operating Members
  • Identify, document and manage ICS risk within the Digital Assets Security across the relevant domains including monitoring the full closure of such findings
  • Educate Senior executives regarding ICS Risks for Digital Assets to drive accountability across the business
  • Work in an Agile environment to drive continuous improvement (efficiency and effectiveness) to align to System Readiness Assurances (SRA) and perform Security Impact Assessments (SIA);
  • Address GIA (Audit) queries and address GIA / Regulatory RFIs for Digital Assets Security strategy, standards, controls and ICS tools

Risk Management

  • Assess the security risks associated with digital asset initiatives, including blockchain-based solutions, tokenization, and cryptocurrency services.
  • Assess, develop and implement security frameworks, policies, and controls to protect digital assets and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews of digital asset platforms, wallets, and smart contracts.
  • Collaborate with technology, risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure security is integrated into the design and deployment of digital asset solutions.
  • Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors targeting digital assets and provide proactive risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts by aligning digital asset security practices with relevant banking and financial regulations.
  • Participate in incident response and forensic investigations involving digital asset-related security events.
  • Engage with industry bodies, regulators, and security research communities to stay ahead of digital asset security trends.
  • Support the Markets and Ventures CISO in managing ICS risks across the Platform and Pre Go Live Ventures
  • Effectiveness review and assessment on quality of ICS implementation
  • Review ICS approach, system architecture and control design

Governance

  • Ensure key ICS risk and issues are monitored and appropriately addressed by key stakeholders
  • Ensure ICS Controls are being adopted in new technologies and projects

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on digital assets, blockchain, or financial technology security.
  • Hands-on experience with blockchain security, cryptographic principles, and smart contract security assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and industry best practices for securing digital assets.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for digital assets in the financial sector (e.g., AML, KYC, FATF, MiCA, NYDFS).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, and blockchain forensic analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or blockchain-related credentials (CBSP, CBBF) are a plus.

  • Understanding of the Cyber landscape and ICS Controls within the CPBB environment
  • Excellent organisation and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise
  • Proven ability to lead highly complex, global, pan-bank, multi-year programmes by driving collaboration and participation by functions, Regions and countries.
  • Extensive change and programme management experience, ideally gained in the financial industry
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at appropriate level ensuring open cooperative environment. Be a Team player.
