About the team

The Finance & Strategy team is an integral thought partner to Stripe’s core functional leaders. We bring understanding and predictability to Stripe’s bottom line financials. We work cross functionally across many surfaces at Stripe and help steward Stripe’s resource investments to improve the durability of our long term financial performance.

What you’ll do

We're looking for students who want to deliver an outsized impact while accelerating their growth in a fast paced dynamic environment. This program is designed for students who are in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field who are eager to apply their classroom learning in practice at an industry leader in the Fintech space.

Our goal is to grow the GDP of the internet. As a Stripe intern, you'll be tackling important projects to increase global commerce, while working alongside exceptional people who insist on doing their best work of their careers.

Interns will be involved in and support various activities which include: planning, complex modeling, process automation, building materials for our senior leadership as well as working individually or in a group setting on a case study project that you will present to your team and the wider org. The work will also involve collaboration with cross functional stakeholders, such as strategy and operations, sales, engineering and other teams across the finance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your financial background to build financial analysis to drive insights and recommendations to business partners
  • Leverage your knowledge of google sheets, SQL and other tools to automate and optimize reporting
  • Build and track metrics and leading indicators of business performance
  • Assist in analysis and presentation of strategic materials for key management meetings
  • Ship a case study project

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Finance or a related field
  • Able to commit to a 12-week internship in summer 2025 [June-August]
  • Graduation date of December 2025 through June 2027
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
  • A proven ability to be a self starter capable of driving results
  • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners
  • Strong knowledge of GSuite tools, Salesforce and MS-Office products and experience working with/analyzing contracts and large data sets using SQL

You will also likely have (not required):

  • Experience with Anaplan, SQL, Python or a willingness to learn
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding such as PowerBi or Tableau

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $97,500 - $97,500. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
