Application Support Analyst - New Grad

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Proprietary Trading Services (PTS) group as an Application Support Analyst. Specifically, you’d be joining the Business Support team, which participates in the support of our automated options trading environment by monitoring and maintaining reference data, trade reporting, and risk controls. The team also shares responsibility for production incident response, management, and communication. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and operational expertise to assist with investigating and escalating issues at the intersection of business and technology.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor, investigate, escalate, and resolve reference data, trade reporting, and risk alerts within the trading environment.
- Own and process operational updates to trade critical databases in support of trading systems, user issues, and business requests, utilizing Excel and Linux command line Python scripts.
- Coordinate, prioritize, and help plan updates in support of larger business initiatives.
- Design and maintain Python reference data scripts validating content of SQL databases.
- Research, report, and confirm processing of corporate actions.
- Provide operational expertise to investigate and escalate issues.
- Provide business knowledge within technical support teams.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business representatives, and other technology teams.

What we're looking for
- 0-3 years of experience in application support, operations, systems administration, or a related role required.
- Ability to independently identify problems and develop solutions required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with financial instruments, including derivative products preferred.
- Knowledge of a programming language like Python, and familiarity with a version control system like GitLab preferred.
- Experience with Linux operating systems preferred.
- Previous experience within a financial services or trading environment is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, an effective communicator, and resourceful in solving problems.
- Willingness to work additional and flexible hours when necessary.
