POSITION PURPOSE:
The Senior Relationship Management Associate is responsible for proactively managing & growing client relationships for UK & Ireland intermediaries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings. This will involve partnering with Relationship Managers to drive sales, identify cross-sell opportunities, and achieve gross flow targets.
The Senior Relationship Management Associate is also responsible for maintaining service and sales excellence through the successful execution of a wide variety of technical and professional services in support of both existing clients and the team’s new business-related activities.
The incumbent is key to the team’s success, his or her ability to support and work in partnership with several Relationship Managers and forge strong relationships internally and externally is critical.
Responsibilities include;
- Maintain high-volume client contact activity, ensuring timely responses and excellent service standards.
- Utilise CRM tools to track client interactions, sales leads, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Supporting 2 Relationship Managers across different regions
- Working with a Relationship Manager in the North, Scotland and Ireland region speaking to and meeting with prospects and clients either individually or together to drive gross flow for the region.
- Support sales pitches by preparing proposals, due diligence questionnaires, and tailored client materials.
- Collaborate with Global Marketing and Distribution teams to coordinate client communications and events.
- Leverage market insights and investment knowledge to anticipate client needs and provide informed solutions.
- Actively participate in client meetings and events to deepen relationships and promote fund strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in client service quality and internal processes.
- Exhibit strong sales discipline, resilience, and a passion for the T. Rowe Price fund range.
- Apply excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to deliver client and firm priorities.
- Travel regionally as needed to engage clients and prospects face-to-face.
- Liaises with the Global Distribution, Market Analysis & Customer Insights proactively or reactively to facilitate competitor analysis and ad-hoc market research initiatives. Additionally, the Relationship Manager, Internal is expected to share their knowledge of market trends and best practices that become evident from their work with a broad range of relationship management professionals.
- Builds a thorough understanding of key investment strategies and establishes relationships with the investment teams. Develops detailed understanding of the applicable investment vehicle structures.
- Proactively reads industry reports and newswires to better understand clients challenges and business environment, where relevant share with team. Reads internal industry reports including updates from Global Distribution Market Analysis team.
- Proactively identifies and raises suggestions for improvements to the quality and effectiveness of processes and customer service. The incumbent may be required to participate in or represent the UK Intermediary team and its clients in wider team/departmental projects and goals.
Key Qualifications & Attributes
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in asset or investment management sales or relationship management.
- IMC qualification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships.
- Proactive, target-driven, and highly motivated to grow business.
- Strong understanding of investment products and market dynamics.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and influencing skills.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- A determination to understand the TRP Fund range and talk about our products passionately
- Ability to quickly identify internal and external client needs/expectations and propose solutions, leveraging outstanding active listening and related skill sets
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and effectively adapt to new internal/external client information and situations
