Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Trader to join our Central Trading Desk team and will be based in the Hong Kong office.

Tower successfully trades a number of different strategies in a variety of markets. We have an extremely high-performance network that processes huge amounts of financial information in real time.

Responsibilities

• Provide trading coverage for either day trading session or night trading session in collaboration with other APAC based traders.
• Monitoring trading systems during Asian market hours in a variety of markets across multiple trading teams using Tower’s custom tools.
• Monitoring live trading for risk and compliance issues and quickly respond to unusual behaviors or market conditions.
• Performing quantitative analysis, providing feedback and contributing to the development of execution algos.
• Working with risk and engineering teams to design, write specifications for and test next-generation automated monitoring systems.
• Working with brokers and exchanges to resolve intraday trading issues.
• Carefully documenting procedures and log production issues as they occur.

Qualifications

• A degree in quantitative finance/computer science or a related field from a top university
• At least 2 years of experience in a trading/support/analyst role
• Working knowledge of equities, futures, FX markets and options
• Working knowledge of execution algo (VWAP/TWAP/Participate)
• Solid experience with automated trading strategies
• An understanding of exchange-specific rules and procedures
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with SQL, Python, and Linux, experience with C++ is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English for business purposes
