Position Title: Investment Analyst

Position Description:

Support product development and marketing, investment integrity and risk management, and business management of our equity products. Work closely with Wellington equity investment teams, relationship teams, and business colleagues across the firm to support clients’ investment needs. Work as part of one or more product coverage teams to contribute to the broad efforts of Investment Products and Fund Strategies – Equity. Provide analytical leverage to the team as well as be a point of contact for a variety of internal constituents regarding inquiries about the investment teams and products under coverage. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide analytical leverage to the team and act as a point of contact for internal constituents regarding inquiries about the investment teams and products under coverage.
  • Perform Quantitative analysis of portfolio positioning, factor exposures, risk and return using excel, FactSet, Morningstar, and proprietary tools. This includes, but is not limited to, risk decomposition, attribution, stress-testing, back testing, and factor analysis.
  • Perform additional analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution and risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing.
  • Macro and stock analysis as relevant for portfolio coverage.
  • Evaluation of quant portfolio models/modeling.
  • Creation and maintenance of marketing and client materials.
  • Review of RFPs, responses to client questions, and automation of workflow.
  • Collaborate on the development of client solutions and new investment approaches.

Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a directly related analytical field plus two (2) years of experience in financial, statistical, economic, and quantitative analysis related to financial instruments, investment markets, or investment portfolios.

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Global financial markets
  • Security types, including equities
  • Investment risk analysis techniques, including analyzing drivers of projected tracking risk, calculating historical absolute and index-relative risk statistics, and risk-based attribution
  • Portfolio management, risk management, product management, or investment consulting
  • Macroeconomics, risk analytics, or derivatives

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $95,000-$135,000 /year.
