Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented International Accounting Manager, to provide accounting support for regional offices across various business lines with a focus on the NBA Canada, EME (Europe, Middle East), and Africa regions. The role will also involve providing domestic-based support to other NBA finance teams for international-related inquiries and deliverables. This individual will work closely with internal teams to ensure the efficient and effective management of accounting processes, provide US GAAP guidance, assist with international tax deliverables, and help streamline international accounting operations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate closure of monthly and annual financials for designated international regions.
  • Regularly monitor and review international balance sheets and P&L reports.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables and resolve international accounting issues.
  • Prepare and deliver SAP training to regional finance and accounting teams.
  • Provide guidance on US GAAP standards to regional offices.
  • Assist in streamlining accounting processes across international offices.
  • Mentor team members and foster international collaboration.
  • Ownership of the international fixed asset monthly close, including capital projects management, retirements, disposals, invoice and project request approvals, quarterly fixed assets rollforwards as well as posting monthly depreciation.
  • Lead SAP Asset Management implementation for new and existing entities.
  • Collaborate with the Tax team on international tax deliverables.
  • Assist with statutory audit report reviews.
  • Provide ad-hoc query support and analysis to internal stakeholders.

Required Education/Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus
  • Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in international accounting roles or management.
  • Experience in the sports, entertainment, or multinational industries is a plus.

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and international accounting standards.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, with a focus on asset management modules.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams across multiple regions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with diverse global teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
